My Silverlight – Picture Puzzle application

I have been working on a Silverlight application and wanted to share the fantastic(!) output. The game looks simple, however "looks are deceptive" right? Here is my link: http://tinyurl.com/5fmg5y

The application is based on Laurence Moroney’s "Sliding Blocks puzzle" game from the "First Look – Silverlight 2" book, which I got from Lynn.

There is so much fun stuff that one could do with Silverlight and each day you find more and more samples that makes it easier for one to get started!

It would be great to see some Silverlight – Popfly applications from you – the digigirlz. Even checking out some of your customized Live Spaces pages would be terrific!

So, why don’t you do some coding+design experiments and share your results?

Digigirlz Video on VEOH

Here’s a video about our Digigirlz Day on March 24th in Irvine – CA. The day itself was so much fun and the movie definitely shows the entertainment + energy created by Digigirlz!

.. A tiny personal note: There’s nothing secret to my last name, but it’s missing everywhere; on my badge – on the video’s credits section etc. I just wanted to note down my name in its full version: Cigdem Patlak Uzun; as CIGDEM P sounds like a HIP-HOP nickname:)) In addition, my name is not hip at all; especially my cooool initials 100% reflect technology- CPU.

Mobile Phone Session

HI DIGIGIRLZ!

THIS IS KIM FROM THE PHONE SESSION! I HAD SO MUCH FUN GETTING TO KNOW YOU MONDAY; I KNOW THAT I WILL CONTINUE TO BUILD A RELATIONSHIP WITH MANY OF YOU AS THESE EVENTS CONTINUE. I’M REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO THAT!

I HAVE ALL OF THE PHOTOS UPLOADED TO SKYDRIVE (login info in your backpacks).

BUT YOU CAN ALSO GET THERE BY CLICKING THE LINK ABOVE THAT’S WITHIN THE PINK DAISIES

THE VIDEOS ARE THERE TOO, (MAINLY) IN .3GP FORMAT. IF YOU CANNOT VIEW THESE VIDEOS ON YOUR COMPUTER, YOU CAN EITHER DOWNLOAD THE 3GP "CODEC" TO PLAY IT (GOOGLE IT) OR YOU CAN WAIT UNTIL WE CONVERT THEM INTO .WMV FORMAT, WHICH YOU WILL ALL BE ABLE TO VIEW. YOU’LL HAVE TO WAIT ABOUT A WEEK OR SO FOR US TO HAVE TIME TO DO THAT, BUT BE PATIENT! THEY’RE FUN TO WATCH!

AGAIN, THANKS FOR COMING TO DIGIGIRLZ & I LOOK FORWARD TO NEXT TIME!

Istanbul Mini Movie

Here is the Istanbul Mini Movie I shared with digiGirlz in the Publish Session. I hope you enjoyed my movie, which I created in Windows Movie Maker. Most pictures are my own; for the pictures I found on www.flickr.com, I had to ask for permission and the photographers were kind enough to share their pictures with me! I also browsed through http://english.istanbul.com for some inspiration.

By the way; the song playing in the video is "Istanbul (Not Constantinople)" by the group They Might be Giants
